Jim Lauderdale releases his 26th album, I'm A Song

Jim Lauderdale released his 26th album, I'm A Song, featuring an all-star cast, 20 songs, and his first re-record of "King of Broken Hearts" yesterday, July 1st.

"A nearly unrivaled roots-music artist, Lauderdale continually demonstrates that the trappings surrounding a song are only as meaningful as its core: a great melody, lyrics that touch the heart without being insipid, and a beat that makes the body respond." - NPR Music

“Few current…acts sing with the command and authority Lauderdale brings to his performances, and fewer still have a set of songs at their disposal as good…” - All Music Guide

I’m A Song features performances by Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, Buddy Miller, Al Perkins, Kenny Vaughn, Dennis Crouch, John Oates, Stuart Duncan, and more. Featured co-writes include Elvis Costello, Robert Hunter, Bobby Bare, Gary Allan, and more. Half of I'm A Song was recorded at the historic RCA Studio A.
